One on One
Our one on one mentoring service uses volunteer mentors
who go into the home (or sometimes a neutral space)
once a week and share their knowledge and skills.
Each session is goal based and tailored for individual
circumstances. This is hugely rewarding for everyone
Some of the skills we share include planning and
preparing healthy budget meals, sewing, knitting,
vegetable gardening, home management and
support of parenting skills.
Our small ratio cooking workshops teach low budget
healthy meals and are individually designed for groups
in the community. We can provide the venue or come
to your place. Each session concludes with a shared meal.
Our knitting, crochet and sewing workshops are run at
our premises. These have small numbers with all equipment provided.
Booking is essential.
We also run a variety of other workshops regularly
throughout the year.
Skill areas we can assist with:
- Menu planning
- Budget food shopping
- Basic food budgeting
- Household management
- Household hygiene
- Parenting skills
- Vegetable gardening
- Sustainable living
